Billie Eilish X Converse: Shop Customizable Collaboration

From the Ramones to Tyler, the Creator, musicians have been wearing Converse Chuck Taylors across generations and genres. Now Billie Eilish is putting her spin on the Chuck Taylor in a collaboration with Converse, and inviting fans to take part in the creative process. The Converse By You X Billie Eilish collaboration features a range of styles inspired by her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which she’s currently on tour to promote.

There are three colorways to choose from, white, off-white, and black, and fans can add custom graphics, including the “Blohsh” symbol and symbols from from the album. The collaboration will be available on Converse’s website at 10 am EST on Oct 17 and retail for $100. There’s also a customizable platform version of the shoe that retails for $110. The shoes will only be available for 7 days — if stock lasts that long.

Eilish teased the sneakers in her Instagram story, showing off the custom sole, and Converse officially announced the collaboration today. Eilish has also collaborated with Nike (which owns Converse) on various sneakers, including a pair of Air Force 1s, proving her sneakerhead bona fides. Eilish is also committed to the environment, and her previous sneaker collaborations have involved using recycled or eco-friendly materials.

For her collaboration with Converse, the sneakers will ship as part of Nike’s “One Box” initiative. Instead of shipping the shoebox inside another box, the shoebox is the package. According to Nike, eliminating the outer box reduces waste by 51% and carbon emissions by 25% compared to traditional shipping methods.

In addition to the custom soles and prints, fans can add lyrics from the album to the midsole and customize everything from the size of the laces to the color of the tongue.
