27 Best White Sneakers for Women of 2024 | Glamour

The versatility of the best white sneakers cannot be understated; they’re essentially blank canvases for your feet. While a new sneaker trend pops up every few months—we’re seeing tons of suede Salomons, retro Pumas, metallics, and the ever-popular, celeb-endorsed Adidas Sambas right now—you can’t go wrong with a comfortable, timeless pair. (That’s why Reebok Club C 85s were our top pick.)
White sneakers are impossible to “mess up” in terms of styling; you can wear them with a fall dress or straight-leg jeans, and you’ll look cool either way. From a great pair for standing all day as endorsed by a podiatrist to cute picks for walking, these are the white sneakers our editors and stylists have put to the test and say are worthy of your rotation.
TL;DR: We chose the Reebok Club C 85 as our best overall sneaker because they’re one of the most versatile (and comfortable) shoes on this list. Our reviewers sing their praises because the low-top fit allows you to pair them with long jeans or cropped pants as you please, and they can nicely complement no-show socks or frilly options if you want to dress them up a bit.

What we looked for
How to choose the best white sneakers for your personal style
Picking the right pair of white sneakers comes down to understanding how you want to wear them. They need to fit in with your existing capsule wardrobe. For example, retro, sporty sneakers like Reebok Club C 85s look great with tailored trousers and button-downs. If you’re hunting down a pair that looks good with dresses, pick something a little more minimalist, like Veja Campos. And anyone who wears gym-ready outfits most of the time should have a great pair of workout shoes on hand; we suggest the super-popular Lululemon Cityverse.
How to clean white sneakers
If you have canvas shoes, they can be put in the washing machine; if you have leather or suede shoes, stick to spot cleaning. We recommend using a toothbrush and dish soap for mud, grass, and spills—a little patience goes a long way. But remember, white sneakers often look best with at least a little scuffing and staining.
How to style white sneakers
Styling white sneakers is as easy as throwing them on with whatever you’re wearing—they’re that versatile. But if you’d like to go a little more elevated, the experts have a few tips: “I like to style classic white sneakers with unexpected pairings,” says Caroline Maguire, Shopbop’s fashion director. “For example, I’ll throw a pair on with a white T-shirt, a black tulle skirt, or a midi slip dress. I love the contrast and comfort all in one.” (Call it wrong-shoe theory.) Of course, you can also just throw on some Amazon leggings and call it a day—we promise you’ll look good.

Reebok has had a resurgence in the past few years, and its Club C 85 sneakers are leading the charge. Playing off classic tennis shoes, these perforated leather low-tops work with any comfy-chic outfit and offer full-foot support so you can wear them all day long.
“Ever since I bought myself a pair of Reebok Club Cs during a Black Friday sale, all other white sneakers have been collecting dust in my closet,” says Anna Moeslein, deputy editor at Glamour. “These have carried me through fall, winter, spring, and now summer, because they really are that good. It’s because they’re so versatile—they sit perfectly just below the ankle, which makes them work with just about any pants style, cropped or otherwise, as well as skirts, dresses, and shorts.” (Glamour contributor Andrea Navarro is also a big fan.)

Sporty kicks are at the top of the heap for 2024, and Salomon sneakers reign supreme right now. They’ve earned cosigns from Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski, and this pair—perhaps the brand’s best-known model—perfectly balances high performance with good looks. “As soon as I put these shoes on, I knew I’d be wearing them every day,” says Glamour commerce producer Kassidy Davidson. “From errands to lunches to strolls with my dog, my feet are supported and I’m able to walk long distances without any aches or pains. These sneakers are giving ‘cool girl’ while being comfortable.”

Adidas
The brand with the three stripes has a range of popular white sneakers, from the puffed-up Superstars to the designer-approved Stan Smiths—but you can’t go wrong with a pair of Sambas, which are more popular than ever right now. “I normally don’t go for super-flat sneakers because of my height, but I can’t help but love the retro look of Sambas and have to credit Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid for making them look impossibly cool with just jeans and a T-shirt,” says Talia Abbas, a Glamour contributor and senior commerce editor at Vogue. “I wouldn’t say these are my 10,000-step sneakers, but they’re comfy enough for shorter walks or commuting to work.” (Pro tip: Order one size down from your usual if you buy a men’s pair.)

Beloved by Kate Middleton, the Superga 2750 Cotu Classic, which she’s worn on repeat over the past few years. “Superga’s canvas shoes are so easy to clean, which is great, because they’re also so comfy you’ll want to wear them every day,” Glamour’s Navarro says. “I wear mine with everything from jeans to dresses.” They’re endlessly versatile and run a bit wider than Keds and Converse if your feet need the extra room. Plus, the lightweight canvas makes it an excellent summer sneaker.
Soludos
The Romas are a streamlined take on a classic silhouette. This understated pair is made from sustainably sourced materials including recycled polyester and responsible leather. “Although the brand suggests a half size up, my standard size six fits perfectly since I have a narrow foot and prefer a snug fit,” says Glamour contributor Stewart Savin. “As someone who primarily wears sneakers, I reach for this pair when I want to look casual but put-together. I never have to worry about blisters or achy feet.” Another Glamour reviewer, Noelle Sanchez, also says that she wore these Romas around Rome (fittingly) for days and experienced no shoe bite or blister in sight: “When I run these into the ground, I’m getting the same pair again. They’re the best shoes.”
P.F. Flyers
One of the very first American sneaker brands, P.F. Flyers just underwent a major brand refresh—but thankfully, the shoes are just as reliable (and affordable) as always. This model was introduced in 1944, and it’s still holding its own in 2024. “These sneakers got me through my first-ever Coachella unscathed, pulling a 12-hour day with ease,” says Glamour shopping editor Jake Henry Smith. “I didn’t slip once, and I loved the way the white canvas aged during the festival. (Snow white sneakers are boring.) While I would have preferred more padding out of the box, my feet were completely fine after more than 10 hours at Coachella and Revolve Festival. I might opt for insoles next time, but as far as music festival shoes go, these are A1.”

Like in the case of its ever-so-popular designer bags, Tory Burch sneakers are instantly recognizable, but not too in-your-face. We’re longtime fans of the Howell sneaker, which comes in a long list of colors and patterns, including this delicious white leather upper, all of which serve major Billie Jean King energy. They’re a hit among online reviewers, too, who praise their endless versatility and comfortable design.

Nike
These Nike classics come in two heights, but we especially love the high-top option paired with skirts and cropped jeans. “I wear my Nike Blazers every day,” says Glamour contributor Brigitt Earley. “I'm entirely obsessed with them because they go with everything—jeans or leggings—and offer such a clean look that’s casual yet cool. I typically pair them with crew socks. My favorites are a pair that has a little embroidered heart on them—it’s the cutest combo. Pro tip: These shoes can be tricky to get on. If you don’t have the patience for that, swapping out the laces for an elastic pair really helps. Now I can slip them right on.”

Tuckernuck
Canvas sneakers will never go out of style, and Tretorn’s time-honored take is a no-fail pair of shoes for running errands or grabbing a bite to eat. (They also have just enough personality to wear with dresses and statement trousers.) “Nylites have been my go-to sneakers for the better part of a decade now—and they’ve proven to be completely trend-proof, even as my style has changed drastically around them,” Glamour’s Smith says. “Each pair features a grippy rubber sole and breathable canvas uppers, and they last about a year before I have to replace them. Since there’s no toe cap, they’re hard to keep clean, especially during rainy weather, but they’re so much cooler with a layer of grime anyway.”

Converse
“Converse are classic sneakers for a reason—they are timeless and versatile, and best of all, they can be worn all day long,” says fashion and lifestyle creator Austen Tosone. That’s what puts this pair at the top of her white sneaker list. “The platform height is my favorite part because they add height without discomfort, like what you might get with a heeled shoe.” The canvas material also makes them a lot easier to clean than some of the sneakers on this list; all it takes is a wipe or brush to clear away dirt.
Kizik
Kizik stands out from the crowd with its signature spring-back heels, which pop right into place when you put your shoes on (and stay put during all-day walking)—perfect for traveling. “I recently wore my Kiziks on a three-day trip to Paris, and they were amazing. These sneakers kept my feet comfortable all day, even with all the sightseeing and walking,” Glamour commerce producer Leilani McQuay says. “I have a bunion, but I didn’t feel any discomfort or pain, which was a pleasant surprise. And they looked stylish with every outfit.”
Lululemon
This just-released sleek iteration of Lululemon’s popular workout shoes, which are all designed specifically for women’s feet, might be even more comfortable and adaptive than the first. That’s why it comes highly recommended by Glamour editor Lindy Segal; it’s comfy out of the box and great for walking or casual training. On top of this all-white option, you can pick from pale pistachio and dusty pink, plus white with an electric pink sole. Oh, and the brand will give you a 30-day trial to ensure you made the right pick. (Kate Middleton has also been spotted in a similar pair, by the way.)
Kate Spade New York
If you prefer a pair of shoes that’ll give you a little boost, go with these white and gold kicks with stacked soles. “Platform sneakers are super trendy right now, and I love this sophisticated option from Kate Spade,” says Lloyd. Besides being easy to clean and having removable footbeds for your own insoles, the shoelace caps match the gold heel tabs—a stylish touch that elevates these gems a cut above your usual sneakers.

“A leather sneaker is the perfect shoe for everything from work to weekends,” stylist Lloyd says, and this pair tops all the rest. Veja’s sustainably made sneakers are some of the highest-rated, best-selling shoes on the market. The French footwear brand has a celebrity following that includes Meghan Markle, Emma Watson, and Jennifer Garner, among many more stylish stars. You’ll find the iconic V on every leather pair, either in off-white or in an array of eye-catching colors.

New Balance
One of New Balance’s most iconic silhouettes, this is a dad sneaker with some serious street cred. “These are probably my most-worn shoes,” says Glamour beauty editor Danielle Sinay, who prides herself on her collection of cute yet comfy walking shoes. They’re tricked out with cushy, supportive midsoles, and durable, shock-absorbing outsoles, ensuring that every step is as comfortable as possible. The look leans a little maximalist and sporty, but that shouldn’t be an issue if you’re okay with making a bit of a statement.
Hoka
Powered by the brand’s signature cushioning, these springy running shoes more than live up to the (very intense) hype. “The best running shoes are the ones you don’t really have to think about. These Hokas are super-supportive to wear on my weekend runs—no blisters or uncomfortable friction,” says Glamour senior commerce editor Jenifer Calle. “They have plenty of cushion for shock absorption, they’re super-lightweight, and they give me a nice bounce when I walk in them. The one thing I don’t love is the tight-fitting laces and tongue on my ankles.”

These minimalist low-top sneakers from Dr. Scholl’s (of all places) earned nearly half a million likes on TikTok when one user said they helped her walk 50,000 steps in two days during a European vacation—with zero blisters or “any foot pain whatsoever.” They’ve also earned a stamp of approval from Glamour editor Emily Tannenbaum: “I wear them if I’m worried that my nicer pair would get too dirty, like for a concert. They’re so comfortable.” It doesn’t hurt that these cute white kicks also look like they should cost at least double their now $70 price tag.

Nike
In need of a wear-everywhere shoe with some built-in street cred and arch support? We love Nike’s (arguably) most iconic sneaker. “This silhouette will never truly go out of style, whether I’m pairing mine with sweatpants or a full suit,” Smith says. “I have a few gripes—the break-in period lasts a while and the wide toe box creases unless you add extra hardware—but you can’t do much better when you’re in the market for all-white leather sneakers that last forever.” On top of going with everything, they have a cushioned heel tab and comfortable insoles to accommodate hours of walking—and they hold up well through drizzle and can easily be wiped clean.
Glamour commerce writer Alanna Martine Kilkeary has bought these sneakers multiple times over the years. “I’ve been wearing Air Force 1’s since my high school days, and every few years I restock! These sneakers are a staple in my wardrobe because I can truly wear them with anything, whether it’s a workout set or white high socks and a pleated skirt,” she says. Kilkeary also loves these because they provide arch support and are super comfortable, and have just a little bit of a platform which is perfect if you’re on the shorter side (Kilkeary stands tall at five feet one!)
Allbirds
This list wouldn’t be complete without these machine-washable wool sneakers, which are ubiquitous on either coast. (Walk around New York for a few minutes and you’ll probably spot several.) In our Allbirds review, Glamour contributor Halie LeSavage says that they’re “supportive enough for all-day wear,” meaning they’re ideal for anyone who’s constantly on their feet, whether that’s at a hospital or an office. Best of all? “You can forget to wear socks and make it through the day without sweaty swamp feet.” Sold.
New Balance
These New Balance kicks come in a whopping four widths, including both wide and extra wide. “I have very wide feet, which limits my choice of footwear, so I’m incredibly loyal to New Balance,” says Talley Sue Hohlfeld, Glamour’s copy director. “The 577s are classic-looking and comfortable for everything I do (now that I’ve stopped jogging). They have enough curve to the sole to provide support for walking. But they’re sedate, which is what I want in my sneakers. I’m on my seventh pair, I think—when the sole gets worn, I go online and search for the best price, and the replacements come in the mail. That’s how much I trust them. Then I rotate the old pair into the ‘painting clothes’ bin.” The retro, sporty look means they’re guaranteed to look good with just about anything, including low-key black leggings.
Nordstrom
Converse high-tops are synonymous with “classic white sneakers” at this point, and they’re one of the few styles that get everyday wear from celebs both off-duty (Bella Hadid) and on the red carpet (Millie Bobby Brown). “This is the pair I reach for when I need something comfortable enough to walk miles in,” says Glamour commerce director Brie Schwartz. And that’s not all: “These attention-grabbing Comme des Garçon Play high-tops are the perfect affordable collab where edgy fashion design meets the perennial American youth brand,” says Glamour visuals director Kathryne Hall. “Wearing them makes me feel both like I’m back in high school in 1994 and part of the current cool-kid club.” You’ll be unstoppable once those canvas uppers get a little beat up.
Axel Arigato
Swedish brand Axel Arigato was founded only in 2014, but these vintage-inspired kicks look like they’ve been on the market forever. Inspired by old-school models and made with recycled materials, these handsome shoes combine white and ivory leather for a stylish pairing that’ll stand the test of time. “Right now we are seeing clean and ’90s-inspired sneakers on the rise at Shopbop,” the retailer’s Maguire says. “This pair has a retro feel while still looking fresh and modern.” Pair yours with an oversized blazer and wide-leg jeans.

These chunky sneakers are a favorite of Glamour’s Kilkeary because they’re comfortable for walking long distances (she wore them on a trip to Paris in 2019 for a full seven days and didn’t get one blister), and look cute with skirts or dresses. “I love that these give off a chunky loafer vibe, but they’re actually lace-up sneakers. They’re the perfect crossroads of style and functionality, which makes them a pair I’ll always go to if I need to dress up a little bit but still be comfortable,” she says.
Frankie4
This pair is a favorite of fashion creator Wendy Sy of the blog StyleMeetsStory because they’re so customizable. “What makes this comfortable pair unique is that it comes with different size footbeds so you can change them out for a narrow or wide fit,” she says. The brand was founded by a podiatrist, so arch support and flexibility is top of mind. They also go with everything. Sy notes they’re especially great for travel since they’re a great walking shoe that can counterbalance a dressier outfit nicely.
Zappos
This sporty white sneaker pair is another of Sy’s go-tos. “I love these for running specifically since they’re lightweight and plush with a high-quality, ultra-cushioned sole,” she says. The shoe has a round-toe design, which makes it extra-roomy for working out and helps ensure it won’t feel too tight or uncomfortable when walking or running. Sy also prefers them in white because they complement all kinds of workout clothes, which makes getting ready a lot faster—especially important when getting to the gym is enough of a challenge.

Adidas
“I’ve been a huge fan of the Originals Superstars for a long time because they’re super easy to style and endlessly comfortable,” Glamour’s Kilkeary says. She’s particularly fond of the fact that these sneakers are a little more sporty than the brand’s Sambas and that they have an iconic, retro look with the rubber toe caps and classic black stripes. “I’ve worn these shoes on long walks, on a hike, and running errands in the city, and I’ve even paired them with a maxiskirt to edge up my look a bit,” she says. (These also happen to be the shoes Glamour’s Smith wore throughout college, where he “put them through the ringer” and they still held up nicely.) Note: this shoe has a hard toe cap which might not be comfortable for sports, so keep this in mind if you’re planning to wear them during physical activity.
Nike
If you’re on the shorter side, a sneaker with a platform might just be what you’re missing. This was the case for Glamour’s Kilkeary, who is five feet one, until she happened upon these kicks on Instagram. “I first saw them styled online and knew I had to have them, and I was impressed from the moment I tried them” she says, noting that they’re comfortable for platform shoes and give about an inch of height in an instant. Plus, the brown check gives them a retro feel, which I love.”
