I’ve brilliant hack to prevent Doc Marten boot cuts for festival season

Nov 18, 2023

A FASHION has revealed her brilliant hack to prevent cuts when wearing Doc Marten boots - and it's a game changer.

TikTok user Emma Kelly posts content to the platform for over 10K followers.

The caption read: "My tip/trick so you don't have sliced up ankles from your Doc Martens this festival season."

Beginning the video, she added: "Are you going to a festival this weekend?

"And you are going to be wearing your Doc Martens for a whole weekend, and you want to last in your Doc Martens without any cuts on the back of your heels without going to a medic tent or using plasters?

"I have a trick for you."

Holding up a black pair of Doc Marten boots she explains that those are her second pair, which she got in December.

As a consequence, the shoes haven't been broken in yet - despite her wearing them to "all [her] events and all [her] raves".

She explains: "This trick literally makes me last in my Docs without sliced up heels for 12 hours, for 24 hours or even two days."

She notes that as a result of her hack, she can "walk, dance and even run in these without having sliced up heels".

Moving onto the hack, she holds up a period pad saying: "So this is going to be your best friend for the duration of the festival - so three days."

She opens up the pad and distinguishes three sections - the middle, top and bottom.

She then tells viewers to leave the covering that holds the wings together on top of the middle part on until last.

She then folds the bottom section underneath the middle section, giving an extra layer of cushioning.

Emma then takes the covering off the wings before folding them underneath - on top of the folded bottom half.

She says this will keep the pad "secure".

She then folds the other part in a 90 degree angle, describing it as "a little seat for your ankle".

Emma then puts the pad into the boot, with the sticky part against the heel and sole.

The extra cushion part will be at the heel, giving your foot a soft support.

Concluding the video, she said: "I swear to God, it works for me all the time and I've never had any issues - I don't have sliced up ankles for the whole weekend".

Viewers took to the comments to share their opinions Emma's genius hack.

One person commented: "thanks so much for this I'm going for 3 days and wearing my docs, I always end up with sore heels".

Someone else said: "Genius idea slayyy."
