Man pleads not guilty to stealing ruby slippers from Minnesota museum

(Duluth, MN) -- The man charged with stealing the iconic ruby red slippers from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids has pleaded *not* guilty. 76-year-old Terry Martin of Grand Rapids made his first appearance in court Thursday in Duluth via video connection. Prosecutors say in 2005 Martin stole the slippers that were worn in the legendary "Wizard of Oz." Martin was assigned a public defender and will not be in custody as he awaits trial.
